Annie Forever

Commentary:

This concludes the first story of ANNIE FOREVER. For a long time it was just called The Knife and Dime or On knives and dimes, but I think I've settled on calling it A Moment Too Soon.
But don't go away. Tomorrow: More ANNIE FOREVER.

Annie stands in front of the two statues at the lectern -- made of wood, painted blue, a microphone sticking out of the cubby -- and starts addressing the audience.

"Okay, so, uh, hi. I'm Annie. In so many ways, I am you and you are me. That means I do some of your stories. And you may know some of mine. But I guess I'm here to tell them, anyway. It all starts when I'm lost. A difficult choice in a difficult time. It all starts... when I'm found. But that's not where it ends. I'll tell you what I can, today. But the stories I won't get around to, the stories I can't tell you today. Those will just have to wait until… tomorrow."

Next: And ever.
