Eddie, seated in a side tunnel, pulls Annie up out of the main sewer pipe. "In here, quick," he whispers. "He never checks the side tunnels."
As the man with the hat -- now, incidentally, sans hat -- storms past them, proving Eddie correct, Annie has a dark realisation. "Why do you know that?"
